My concern against the problem of education rises views and the moral convictions that education is a process and morality is the target of its primary. Therefore, there are a lot of reasons for us to inquire how the fate of moral education and the manners of developed and taught to our children in school.
The actuator and thinkers on education since long restless about educational atmosphere that goes on at school. People like Ivan Illich and Paolo Freire was even criticized by spicy that the school has made the students like the robots because of the lack of them is trained to give creative responses. Better yet even both schools have also accused hold of freedom and creativity as well as kill the intellect of the child.
In school, approach learning more oriented competitive aspect: a culture to beat and the others, sparking inordinate labeling disciple as intelligent, students stupid, an ordinary classroom and special class, school national and international school, and attributes other really torment feeling students and parents because of high discrimination. In this context, normal if now we preoccupied with the plan and discourse to make and change orientation curriculum moral education and the manners.
The results of studies in many countries are advancing their education mentioned that the success of the educational process which means more determined by the golden triangle of education, teachers, parents, and Government. In a survey conducted by the Phi Delta Kappa/Gallup study in 2004 reported that 73% of respondents agreed on the fundamental weaknesses of the education, which is based on the absence of a good teacher. The survey also shows that if conditions forced urgent one must stop/from his profession as a teacher, the most selected answer is because of the low salaries and facilities 67%, bureaucratic rigidity 21%, the difficulty in dealing with parents of students 8%, and the reason students condition 4%.
That means only 4% actually be the teachers always have attachment emotionally against their students. However, when asked to parents and teachers about what causes them less care to students 76% answered because lazy student average undisciplined, and stupid.
In addition to the teacher, the public is also a determiner morality our education. If education are defined simpely in the form of institutional, school is the explanation. Therefore, school being a dependent any member of the peoples to prepare for the future of their children. If schools that we do acquire support from the community who wills to change, behold education has been moving in the right direction.
The problem is the mental attitude of our society is currently highly permissive in terms of culture and is easy to take the conclusions because our society is unfamiliar with dissent. The second type of mentality of this community need to be rebuilt through a series of socio-therapy which is the main task of moral education. School with a healthy management structure and support strong communities is the right keywords to address rampant behaviour of aberrant students around us.
The third is the moral pillar of State or the Government. There is a phrase,”What you want in the state, you must put into the school”. Therefore, the role of the State could be very strong against the direction and vision of the education of a nation, so the practical implications will make all building needs of his education to be very formal.
When the totality of education must include all types and approach to teaching, either formal, non-formal or informal. The role of the State to make education as a means of realizing an intelligent and cautious people to God is still insufficient. The approach used by countries in formulating policies of our national education system look once is still very formalistic, and the effectiveness of educational policy as long as it takes place without adequate evaluation and monitoring.
